The voice of the idaho sportsmen
Through us YOU will be heard
At Sportsmen's Alliance of Idaho, we're passionate about the outdoors and we want to ensure that opportunities to hunt, fish, and trap are always made available to Idaho residents. We fill our freezer with meat just like you. We are not a think tank, or a group of political pundits, we are just like you. Everyday, hardworking folks who love to hunt and fish. We want our resources protected for us, not sold off to the highest bidder.
Our mission is simple. To inform, influence, educate, and defend policies that protect and promote our Idaho outdoor traditions.
Educating both the public and lawmakers can be a fulltime job. Putting out facts and not hyperbole will be the mission. "If you love something, you will protect it"- Fred Bear. We chose to listen to science and use common sense to guide our mission.
We are not a group of good ole boys. Many conservations groups tend to be 100% like minded folks. This leads to lack of critical thinking. We are not PHD's. Sometimes the data can get in the way of facts and common sense. We are not puppets for groups, corporations, or politicians.
We are dedicated hunters, fishermen, campers, recreationists, who genuinely LOVE Idaho and what it's outdoors has to offer. We will NOT let access to our lands and resident hunting opportunities become a bargaining chip for politicians and their financiers.
If we do not get involved, and fast, our access to publics lands, hunting and fishing opportunities will disappear. How do we know this? Just look at Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, for examples. Hunting has became a political bargaining chip. Land access has been shut down. Mandatory draws for residents. The list goes on and on.
Right now the only real voice at the Capital is the Idaho Wildlife Federation. They are just not enough. Currently, Idaho sportsmen are isolated into many smaller groups, that have not truly banded together. Our goal is to be the voice of these smaller groups, creating a large megaphone that must be heard. Bringing the groups together with common goals.
Become a member of our Alliance and others. Contribute to help us take on the challenges that are on our doorstep. Be a ethical hunter, fisherman, and recreationists. Set the example. Teach others how to care for OUR land and animals. Your financial support will go a long way in making our voices heard.
We plan to offer swag to help you show your support and help with fundraising for educational tools etc.

Originally from Texas, Deanna is a banker by trade and a hunter by marriage. She loves to camp and has became a successful public land hunter in her own right.
